Possible Career Limiting Command

Today I was troubleshooting a router and found out that there was an ISDN debug (use “show debug”) that was filling up the log.  I decided to stop the debugging by typing “undebug all”.  At least that’s what I typed in my head.  🙂  Actually, I typed:

productionrouter#debug all

Luckily, Cisco IOS is smart enough to give you a chance to verify your stupidity before you end your career:

This may severely impact network performance. Continue? (yes/[no]): no

After crapping my pants, I went ahead and turned off all debugging:

productionrouter#u all
All possible debugging has been turned off
