CCIE candidates share a unique vocabulary.  I will occasionally forget that others are not fluent in Nerd.

I was studying today when I received a text message from my wife:

what r u doing?

My reply:

What I meant:

COD (Class On Demand)

What my wife thought I meant:

  2. i got a good laugh offa that.

Btw i had a question for you. I was looking at your IEBW VOl 2 lab 3 task 4.7 and need to get some clarification if you dont mind helping me out. I cant seem to get R1 to see R3 as a neighbor, R1 does see R6 and its loopback but some wierd stuff is going on. I think i have it configured correctly, advertising out all the needed loopbacks with no auto turned on. I was wondering how you configured it. Can you give me some advice on that?

    Greatly appreciated.

  3. You know – after all these years and even fishing a lot (though freshwater) I never knew what a cod looked like. I eat those things?

You are right – the lingo can really confuse people!

    Too funny

  4. @navfett – It’s been a long time since I did that lab. I took a quick look at the task and the EIGRP configuration is pretty straight forward. The only “strange” bit is the BVI on r6. I doubt that the EIGRP config is the issue. I would go back and verify that the BVI is set up correctly. Can you ping R3 from R1?

I’ll try to lab it up tomorrow.

  5. @Mike – I’m with you. I’m pretty much a walleye, bass, perch guy myself. The funny thing is that this was the “prettiest” cod I could find. They get a lot uglier. 🙂

  7. As an avid Xbox 360 fan, COD = Call Of Duty.
