CCIE Keith Tokash Is The New Dread Pirate Roberts

Filed under: Cisco — cciepursuit @ 8:22 am

Ethan Banks recently ascended into the ranks of the numbered, but his blog still lives on.  Keith “Genghis” Tokash has begun posting his quest for the CCIE.  He’s from LA and works for MySpace.  He seems to be a good guy although he did once dis Fremont (I’ll try not to hold a grudge 🙂  ).  You can check out his posts here.

He has attended both the Micronics (Nabrik) and Unitek CCIE bootcamps.  He has posted a very good review of the Unitek bootcamp (as well as some comparisons to Narbik’s camp) here.

Good luck to Keith (it sounds like he’s close to the end of his journey) and be sure to check out his posts.

  4. @ Carl – I was in the Navy so I’ve heard just about every “pirate” joke. 🙂 The Marines on board used to constantly crack on us:

    Marine: You’re in the Navy?
    Squid: Yes.
Marine: How did your parents take it when you told them you were gay?

The strange thing was that occasionally the AC would fail in the Marines’ berthing area when we were near the equator. Such a mystery. 🙂

  5. Keith and I attended a bootcamp with Narbik together and have stayed in touch. He wanted somewhere to post, and I offered. He’s a good writer, and I’ve enjoyed reading his stuff.

The “problem” with having passed the lab exam is that I’ve gone on to all these other things I’ve had on the back burner for months and months now. My life is busier than it was before, if you can believe that. So finding time to blog hasn’t been the priority it was before April 29, 2008. I’ll get back to posting something…er…at some point. 🙂
