I sat the exam today. Chances are that I’ll need to go back in January to do it again. I haven’t got the bad news yet but I would need to be nearly perfect to get the 85 points I counted…and there were at least 6 points that were “squishy”. Most people who pass the lab leave the test feeling like they nailed it. I did not nail it.
The lab experience was a roller coaster ride. I’ll have a lot more to say about the lab either tomorrow (unlikely as I’ll be in Napa) or the next day but I wanted to thank everyone who for their words of encouragement.
The test was fair, but tough. I only saw two technologies that I haven’t configured before. The technology aspect was not the problem. Question interpretation was a huge issue for me. There are a couple of questions that I cannot figure out still. I am sure that if I knew what the task was asking for I am able to configure it.
I’m a little disappointed, but I gave it my best shot. I know what I need to concentrate on in order to have a better shot next time.
I’ll write more later. Right now I’m going to have a glass of wine and go to sleep.
